A Special Lecture on Local Administration by Khun Supanat Permpoonwiwat

        Mr. Supanat Permpoonwiwat, Director of the Department of Peace and Good Governance at King Prajadhipok’s Institute, visited the School on March 25, 2023 to lecture in the course PAD64- 142 “Concepts and Theory of Local Administration” in the Public Administration Program.

          The special lecture by a distinguished speaker was an essential activity for students in the Public Administration Program given that it afforded them the chance to acquire knowledge and experience from local administration experts. This special occasion is summarized below:

          The Lecture Subject: People’s participation in the administration of municipal government organizations. A very intriguing topic related to the PAD64-142 course. This topic would assist students in comprehending the significance of public participation in local administration and developing an awareness of individuals’ responsibilities and roles in this process.

          Number of Participants: This special lecture provided 143 students in the Public Administration Program with the opportunity to participate. It was an ideal chance for students to study and implement their knowledge in a public administration-related career or activity.

          Objectives: The primary objective of this activity was to increase understanding and applicability of the principles of Thai local administration and local development in their many practical applications. This perspective could help students gain insight into the broad context of local administration and citizen participation in the process.

          This activity was exemplary of the Public Administration Program’s initiatives to provide students with opportunities to acquire and employ knowledge that will be applicable to their future studies in other program courses.
