The Universitas Negeri Surabaya is a public university located in Surabaya, the provincial capital and second largest city of Indonesia. Since 2017, Walailak University has signed a cooperation agreement with Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Since then, the cooperation has flourished, including the conducting of joint research between the staff members of two universities, the collaborative development of an Indonesian Language Proficiency Test for Thai students, student exchange activities, summer course activities, and the support of Walailak University’s Indonesian language classes for Political Science students. Three students from the Javanese Language and Literature Program traveled to Walailak University as exchange students to participate in a variety of activities with students from the Political Science Program for approximately one week.

Universitas Mataram is located in the city of Mataram in the province of West Nusa Tenggara. Following that, Walailak University formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Universitas Mataram in June 2022. Six students from Universitas Mataram’s Department of International Relations came today as part of an exchange student program and will be staying at Walailak University for more than a month.

In addition, they will assist with the instruction of POS64-360 Fundamental Indonesian and INA60-451 Indonesian for ASEAN Studies to students majoring in ASEAN Studies. Concurrently, they will complete the internship under the supervision of the Political Science Program.
