Ajarn Nuwat Tatu and Ajarn Wachiraporn Poungjinda, and Their Comparative Copyright Law Research Endeavor

November 14, 2021

Ajarn Nuwat Tatu and Ajarn Dr. Wachiraporn Poungjinda, lecturers in the Laws Program, are conducting research for the Walailak University-funded research project “Legal Measures on Copyright in Terms of Human Rights Compared to International and Foreign Laws.”

The two researchers highlighted key concerns and examined the link between copyright law and human rights legislation in Thailand via their research effort. Simultaneously, several measures based on copyright law were examined to see whether they had an impact on human rights and, if so, how. Both researchers predicted that this study will ultimately lead to recommendations for further adjustments to Thai copyright law in order to have measures that are human rights compliant.
