State University of Malang

The State University of Malang (Indonesian: Universitas Negeri Malang) is one of the state universities in Indonesia. The main campus is located in Malang, East Java. The university was established as College of Teacher Education Malang since 1954 and then changed its status to a state university in 1999.

The State University of Malang is currently offering several program covering various disciplines including engineering, economics, mathematics and sciences, sports sciences, and social sciences. The university, on the other hand, retains its strengths, which include teaching and research in the fields of education and literature.

The State University of Malang is one of the universities that has the longest relationship with Walailak University. Since 2010, the two have collaborated academically under a Memorandum of Understanding. There have been many collaborative activities since the official relationship was established, including a student exchange program, joint research project, international conference, and the State University of Malang accepting students from Walailak University to study in the graduate program for several years.

The School of Political Science and Laws collaborates with the State University of Malang on a regular basis. Students who want to study Indonesian will be sent to the State University of Malang to study for at least one semester, as well as participate in student and academic activities offered by both campuses.
